This is shaping as one of the most exciting races of the series.
It did cross my mind! Surely not...
Team NZ with the starboard advantage but there's only 20m or so in it
The boats intersect and Team NZ may have slightly increased their lead. Possible tactical error from Oracle? But they're still well in it.
Oracle are on the right, could be in the lead at next cross. They have definitely found some upwind speed, at last.
It's very tight as the boats ready to cross. This is the tightest race so far.
They were well up on their left foil and for a few agonising seconds it looked like they were going over.
They barely managed to right the boat but, wow, they looked like they were going over.
That could have been a disaster for Team NZ. Instead it will make for some fantastic photos!
I would update how far Oracle are ahead but the TV just keeps showing replays of the near-capsize.
And we're back live. Oracle are well clear. It's their race to lose now.
Team NZ cross mark three 28 seconds behind.
Now for the sprint downwind. Oracle should take this race but Team NZ are probably happy just to make it to the finish line.
Even before the near-capsize, Oracle were seriously threatening, and their pressure may have created the error on the Team NZ boat.
Hearts must still be in mouths on the Team NZ boat. I know they are here!
Oracle are streaking away as we head to mark four. Looks pretty certain they'll take race eight.
It will be very interesting to hear from Dean Barker after this race.
And Spithill, too. Their boat changes have clearly have improved their upwind speed.
Look forward to seeing a lot more images like that.
Oracle well clear around mark four and they will sprint to the finish to take race eight.
