Hello and welcome to live updates of this morning's rugby league World Cup quarterfinal between the Kiwis and Scotland at Headingly Stadium in Leeds.
The TAB aren't even offering head to head odds on this one, with the Kiwis expected to romp home in much the same manner they did against Papua New Guinea last weekend.
The underdogs feature a few familiar names, like Panthers halfback Peter Wallace and former Warriors hooker Ian Henderson, but this red-hot Kiwi team will back themselves to dominate every aspect of the game from start to finish.
Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney has opted for Jesse Bromwich and Ben Matulino as his starting props, with Sam Moa, Jared Waerewa-Hargreaves and Frank-Paul Nu'uausala joining Elijah Taylor on the bench.
He has also elaborated on his decision to start Kevin Locke ahead of Josh Hoffman, saying he needed to give the Warriors fullback another chance to impress after not getting the run of play in his only outing so far against France.
Big Manu Vatuvei will also start after coming through a late fitness test on his troublesome knee.
Scotland 26 Tonga 24
Scotland 30 Italy 30
Scotland 22 USA 8
It's another (bitterly) cold night in Leeds but it is otherwise perfect conditions with no wind or rain. The pitch is in great order and the choir aren't too bad, either. The Kiwis are going through their final warmups and will start as listed.
Scotland have said they will take the game to the Kiwis. As reigning Super League Man of Steel Danny Brough said: “If we go down, we’re going to do down fighting – and playing some football. We’re not going to play five drives and kick: that would play right into their hands. We’re going to attack when we can.”
Scotland's spine of former Warriors hooker Ian Henderson, Danny Brough, Peter Wallace and fullback Matt Russell have been excellent so far this tournament. Tonight, however, is an altogether different proposition.
At the captain's run yesterday, there was a distinct difference in the size of the respective forward packs. Me thinks that will be a factor tonight

This is the first time the Kiwis will take on Scotland, although the New Zealand Maori took on Scotland at the 2000 World Cup, with the Maori winning 17-16
The World Cup trophy is just being brought onto the field by Jamie Peacock. Crazy to think it was lost for 20 years after being stolen from a Bradford hotel and found in a rubbish tip
Brilliant. The match ball was just delivered by a load of cyclists.
Sounds like a wheely good idea to me.
The stands are filling up at Headingley and we should be close to a sellout. The crowd were brilliant last week, even though PNG were well beaten. They could be even louder today, especially the South Stand, because it's a British team.
Just under ten minutes till kick off now. It's almost song and dance time.
The two teams are coming onto the pitch and New Zealand are being introduced as the "champions of the world". Has a nice ring to it
The Scots have tartan shorts. Not sure if any of the players are going commando
Flower of Scotland is the first anthem up and it is haunting and powerful. Such a great tune, you can't help but not hum along. Some passionate singing from the Scottish squad too, great start 8/10.
The Kiwis are greeted with a pre-recorded anthem soundtrack. Sounds a bit bland for me. Good intensity in the eyes of the Kiwis but not a lot of singing. 6/10. First blood to the Scots.
The Scots asked to be allowed to sing their anthem without the music. They were turned down. Still a great anthem
Haka time now and Issac Luke is giving it heaps. Great performance, some terrific tongue poking. It really is a very intimidating sight. We are all set to go.
Kiwis have the kick off and it's deep down into the hands of Brett Phillips.
First penalty awarded on the second hit up. Late tackle from Simon Mannering.
But Scotland don't find the line with their kick. Kiwis have the ball on the halfway line.
Sonny Bill is down. The big man has taken a heavy hit and doesn't look good.
There's a fair bit of concern for SBW. He got his head caught in a bad position. Please get up. Please
There were three in the tackle and it looks like he got his head trapped in an awkward position.
He's getting up onto his feet now. Maybe just a bit of whiplash?
During the tackle the ball was turned over. Scotland start their set from halfway.
Really smart kick into the in goal from Danny Brough. Locke is back to recover but it will be a Kiwis dropout.
Scotland have made a habit of kicking early in their sets at this tournament to keep teams guessing. They said they would be unpredictable
Kiwis look fired up. Some heat going into thosee tackles
Big Manu has just put a huge hit on Matthew Russell and the Scottish fullback is yet to get up.
Russell sheepishly gets to his feet and the Kiwis will have the turnover.
Manu Vatuvei really wanted his first run to be straight at former Warriors teammate Ian Henderson. Hasn't really panned out that way yet.
