Good set from the French but ultimately they come up short. The ball is spun wide on the final tackle to Fakir but he is wrestled short of the line by some smothering Kiwi defence.

Another disappointing end to a French set of six as their final kick ends up skewing off behind the line of the chasers. Kiwis scoop up the loose ball through Pritchard and break down the field.

Once again the Kiwis put the ball down. This time it was a Johnson inside ball to Locke, but the fullback over ran it and the ball went down.

Issac Luke did the damage and Shaun Johnson was quick in support to touch down under the posts. Luke broke the line, drew the defenders and managed to squeeze out a pass to Johnson who was too quick for the recovering defenders.

The Kiwis just lost their way infront of goal. They had been probing around 10m out for a few minutes but couldn't make the breakthrough and eventually knocked the ball on. 18 minutes to play now.

Into the last ten minutes now and France have the ball deep in their half. The home crowd are desperate to see their side get on the board, but the longer the game goes on the less likely that looks.

It's all happening now. Tuivasa-Sheck breaks down the right hand flank for the Kiwis, throws the ball back in-field to Baile, who knocks the ball on (but the refs don't call it), it's scooped up by Bentley who sprints the length of the field before being tackled by Locke. No tries but plenty of action.

Shaun Johnson has just been awarded the man of the match award. Issac Luke must feel pretty hard done by there. For me, he has been the star tonight.
