Thompson down again and that is it
all she wrote, Parker by TKO in the third, thanks for coming, he says
Ever-improving power from Parker again. Lands some heavy shots there
Parker is now a perfect 10-0
You're on fire, Keith. thanks
Parker finishes without a scratch on him, which is helpful given he will pull on the gloves again in October against Sherman Williams in NZ
This guy was hand-picked as an opponent though, Lyn, his handlers wanted a guy he could dismantle to look good in the US market
Pat McK ringside says: Victory is well received by the crowd.
Well he looked very sharp in beating this guy, Henry. People can trip up with these fights and it just confirms what people expected. This fight was also arranged on relatively short notice etc so it's hard to get a perfect opponent
Parker thanks god for the victory but says he felt a little bit flat
thanks his team for organising the fight
Parker says Barry told him to be patient and pick his shots
thanks Thompson for getting in the ring with him. Very polite man
Parker still saying a top-10 opponent will be on the cards for the end of the year
Berridge coming up soon. I am looking forward to this fight. Berridge is an entertaining fighter. 12 rounds of light heavyweight action. I will get a refreshment and will be back in to it. Don't go too far away
I've met Parker's mother, Lyn and I don't believe that. Parker's mother is a lovely lady though
Berridge with a finely-trimmed beard for this fight, which, of course,
means nothing
Another ad break here.... then we are up. When I am blogging the fight I will go with RB for Berridge and VL for his opponent to make typing quicker....
RB coming in the ring now. He is 24-1-1 with 20 KO
Pat McKendry ringside tells me RB's
walk out music is Tool's Sober with a Maori chant over the top.
These fights are the undercard for heavyweight contenders Derric Rossy and Vyacheslav Glazkov who will square off later
I appreciate you providing balance to the boxing discussion, Mr Utter Joke
Instructions being given... Let's get it on
VL's nickname is The Professor
RB's WBO Oriental title is on the line
VL is much, much taller 5.5 inch advantage
VL has a couple of degrees, hence his nickname of
the professor
I think so too, Henry... He is coming forward a bit more now
He can certainly fight, Dee. Nice (padded) 15-0 record from his homeland of Russia
Big man for a light heavyweight too
VL moving round the ring nicely
VL using his size. RB mixing it up inside a bit though
Good action in opening round
VL's round IMO, 10-9. But that was mega close.... Bear in mind, of course, my scorecards aren't official
Mr Joke, I don't agree with you, I love boxing but yes, many dodgy aspects to the sport...
RB's corner told him he lost the round in the break
RB a little cold. Corner says he may be anxious
RB looking to get a bit more active in this round
VL is a tiny bit slow. RB may catch him in the later rounds... Will need to be active throughout though
VL trying to establish his range and RB is sort of cutting off the advantage of his reach
VL with a couple of good body shots
Interesting stile of fight from VL.... Has knocked down RB late in the round
Round to VL 10-8. RB floored with a big right late in the piece
Corner tells him "You need to wake up, bro"
Corner throwing in the standard collection of motivational swearwords
