Ahead of who? Nonu or Smith? You can't be serious, not yet anyway until we have got through the pool games.
It's not a bad scheme is it. SBW hasn't played for ages so he should have been fit and itching to play well and show he can cut it. They have lots of playmakers barrett, B Smith etc
Brilliant game. Passes and waited and box kicked and tackled and covered and THEN sniped when the chance came and scored.
Hard to go past either Smith, Read, Coles
Yep I watched Noah put the ball into the Ark scrum! Japan's win was massively staggering. Biggest AB shock I remember was their loss to a Sydney XV and also being pounded by the Wallabies just before 99 RWC. But this is right up there, Japan beating the Boks--stop me dreaming.
They'll hve to play a heck of a lot better but they are in a group where it is still possible
He's not going to improve at this stage of his career. But experience and leadership is needed at the start and then when rivals tire, bring on Cane or use both of them. Facing some great backrows....if they get a platform to work from.
It's fine at the tail end of games when you want to rachet up the pressure, force rivals to do things they wouldn't normally do because of the speed of the game.
Any time there are issues, the All Blacks review those areas of their game. They will be concerned but also happy they fought their way through some issues.
Me too. I think it is a big downer no matter how the RWC officials and the All Blacks will spin it. RWC needs a different format.
Would have round robin with rankings and draw made six months out from the tournament, cut teams into two grades with semi then final.
My eyes are not as sharp as once but thought Pumas flanker was sinbinned when ABs took quick tap.
Do you count Samoa as lower-level side? Like their chances of sneaking into playoffs and still maybe Fiji
Touche. It will give the Pommie red-tops more ammo for their Get McCaw campaigns.
By several streets Aaron Smith then probably Dane Coles and Brodie Retallick
The passes I understand because that is the way they play but the bombs I don't get, they are a lottery, only travel 25m, so why not hang onto the ball and tire out defenders if we are as fit as we say. Either that or boot it way downfield..
No drama. Insomnia is a friend of the ageing!
A ball in the air is always going to be a 50-50 job in traffic. Don't see how you can change an age-old mathematical situation.
