Team NZ tack early on the upwind leg and Oracle's lead sits at around 455m.
Team NZ head towards the port boundary but Oracle in command. Lead still at around 434m. So Team NZ did make a gain rounding the mark but still well behind.
The lead keeps sitting around around the 400m as the boats are very even upwind.
Both boats head towards the port boundary. "We've got better breeze," says Barker. Is it enought though?
Team NZ have cut the lead to 250m but the have to tack back away now while Oracle will continue on line.

Oracle now tack also. Team NZ make another small gain.
Team NZ tack away though and that extends Oracle's lead further.
Team NZ head towards port boundary and tack back again. The lead now 250m. That move lost them a further 100m.
Just over halfway up the upwind leg and Oracle lead now at around 265m.
Team NZ have slightly more speed at the moment. But once again they need an Oracle mistake to get back into this race.
The foiling gets Oracle up to 31 kts.
