That might actually be good news for Team NZ. They didn't have the right config for heavy winds.
So we come back again tomorrow. Race 13 at 8.10am and Race 14 9.10am.
Oracle will have port entry in the first race and Team NZ will have it in the second race.
The pre-start didn't get advanced enough to know what Team NZ might have done with that one
The ebb tides will soon be replaced by a flood tide, which will mean lighter current conditions which could favour Team NZ.
There will be no more racing today. The wind has exceeded the limit and we have passed the time limit
Relax, people. Team NZ need to win only one more race. Oracle are certainly quicker but haven't suddenly found a lot more speed than Team NZ. They picked the wind shifts well today, which saw them make some good gains on the upwind leg. That tends to happen when you're the leading boat and Team NZ were in the position of trying to force the issue
I've just talked to Dana Johannsen and she has confirmed that Team NZ will have port entry tomorrow. I can't explain why. It seems like a convoluted system, but something to do with each team has to have the same amount of port entries in the first and second race. So good news for Team NZ there.
That's the end of our coverage. We'll be back tomorrow for live updates of races 13 and 14 (if needed). Join us from 7.30am.
