It looked like Oracle picked the wind shifts well in the last race. Considering the boats are evenly matched, they made some good gains. It helps when you're the leading boat because you can pick your moments to tack as opposed to the trailing boat who has to push things to try to find a way past.
The race is already delayed as the tide races out and we're already on the wind limit
The wind is already at 22 knots. The clock is ticking down with just over 16 minutes to go but a start looks unlikely
The wind tends to build in the afternoon and the tide will get stronger so things aren't looking great
Just a guess, Sarah, but TV normally rules the world
All eyes remain on the wind limit. Not looking good.
The boats are milling around waiting to see what happens. The official clock is counting down to a start but restarts every time it hits the wind limit
Another delay to the start time. 9.30am now.
The start clock is at 15 minutes but restarts every time the wind goes over the limit.
Martin Tasker is getting quite a bit of heat on social media. Wonder if he is planning to do a PJ Montgomery if Team NZ actually win this thing
Racing needs to get underway by 9.40am or we're coming back tomorrow... or the next day
