Oracle have port entry for both races today. It's done on an alternate basis so teams get port entry for the morning racing one day and afternoon the next. But the postponements have meant they are out of sync. If it goes to it, Team NZ will have have port entry for both races tomorrow
Spithill: "It's straight back to business. The boys are really focused today. There's a hunger there"
Sithill: "We love a challenge and we have what we wished for here. The boys are excited. Keep chipping away."
Spithill on extra speed: "Just a lot of hard work. Every night we have been critical of each other. We are trying to improve every day. The learning curve is very steep."
US commentators are calling Spithill Captain Hook for his start today. Dear me
So a pretty comfortable win for Oracle there. No need to panic though Team NZ fans. They weren't exactly streaking ahead and haven't picked up more speed overnight. They made the most of the port advantage at the start and sailed a good race.
Grant Dalton: "It was always going to be difficult with the starboard entry. We tried to get in the action at the start, it didn't work out. There's not much in the boats upwind and probably similar downwind so it's pretty hard to make up that deficit."
Dalton: They're getting better and we need to chip away at them.
Dalton confirmed he won't race in the second race today.
"We know there is a nation watching this. But once you go into the start box you don't really think about that anymore," said Dalton.
Dalton didn't sound confident about winning race 13 saying starboard entry is even harder in these conditions.
Race 13 now 20 minutes away.
