We will do what we can SailorSam from west Ealing. Thanks for tuning in
Just a minute away from the prerace entries.
Team NZ will have port entry which has suddenly become so crucial.
They go to around 43 kts there on entry. Oracle enter now at around the same speed.
Team NZ go deep into the box and Oracle follow.
Barker turns around to protect the left.
What will Oracle do here?
The boats slow as they eye the start line.
Team NZ protecting the left and now just judging their speed to the line. The left has put boats in a strong position so far in this regatta because they usually get to the first mark first
Oracle have pulled the trigger, here go Team NZ.
Team NZ hold the left as they pass the start line.
Barker won that start well and Team NZ have a small advantage over Oracle
They are both going slow in a controlled start. Now they are off.
Team NZ enter the circle first and round mark 1.
And they are off up the first downwind leg.
Team NZ out to an early
Oracle gybe first while Team NZ continue to head towards the boundary on the right.
Team NZ eventually go gybe and head back towards the middle of the course.
Lead at around 90m now. They didn't make any gain on that first gybe.
Team NZ at around 38 kts. Team USA at 37.
Oracle Team USA cross behind Team NZ and have made a slight gain.
Team NZ lead sits at 73m.
They both pass Alcatraz and gate 2 is not too far away. Oracle just sitting back at the moment waiting for the crucial upwind leg.
